Have you ever felt rejected for your faith—even by the people closest to you? I had a dream last night that turned into a life-altering encounter with Jesus. What followed was a spiritual lesson rooted in the book of Ephesians—a reminder of who we are in Christ when rejection tries to redefine us.

🌙 The Dream: Rejection in the Midst of Believers and Family

In the dream, I was at an event surrounded by family members—many of whom are not believers—and friends from church. A conversation with my husband quickly turned into an argument centered around my faith. His sister stood with him, and both rejected me harshly, refusing to let me explain. Their voices echoed what I’ve heard too many times: “You’re too much,” “You’re too spiritual,” or “You’ve changed.”

In the dream, the weight of rejection pushed me into a corner. I wept bitterly, crying out to God:

“No matter what I do, I’m rejected. Even those who know You reject me. I’ve always believed I was chosen and set apart. But if I’m wrong, if I’m missing something, please show me. Why am I so isolated?”

And then—suddenly—everything shifted.

A Vision Within the Dream: Jesus Appears

I was caught up in what felt like an open vision within the dream. Jesus appeared before me, clothed in a bright white robe, radiating purity and peace. He looked at me with the kind of love that silences every accusation. Without saying a word, He gently instructed me to read the book of Ephesians. Then the vision ended.

Awestruck, I ran to the crowd, crying out, “I had a vision! I need a Bible!” A Christian friend gave me hers, but as I flipped through the pages, the book of Ephesians was missing. I said, “I need my Bible—my own Bible. It’s in there.”

On my way home, I came upon a crowd gathered around a woman screaming in torment—she was demon-possessed. Moved with compassion, I began praying in tongues and interceding in the Spirit. The woman was delivered. As she wept and shouted that she was healed, others looked on in amazement, questioning the language I spoke. I explained:

“Tongues are not for show—they edify me, and it’s through intercession in the Spirit that I was empowered by the Holy Spirit to cast the demon out. I have no power of my own. It’s the power of Christ in me.”

Then I woke up.

And I immediately opened my Bible.

🧡 The Message: Ephesians — Our Identity in Christ

The Holy Spirit led me to the very book Jesus instructed me to read: Ephesians. A book that reminds us who we are in Christ—especially in times of rejection and misunderstanding.

Here’s what Ephesians declares over you and me:

  • You are chosen — “He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:4).

  • You are adopted — “In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 1:5).

  • You are accepted — “He has made us accepted in the Beloved” (Ephesians 1:6).

  • You are sealed with the Holy Spirit — “Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit” (Ephesians 1:13).

  • You are seated in heavenly places — “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 2:6).

The enemy will always use rejection to challenge your identity. But the book of Ephesians is God’s love letter of truth to every believer feeling isolated, misunderstood, or spiritually attacked

✨ Prayer: Strength in Rejection, Identity in Christ

Heavenly Father,Thank You for choosing me before the foundation of the world. When rejection surrounds me and voices of criticism cloud my heart, remind me of Your truth. I am not rejected—I am accepted in the Beloved. I am not forgotten—I am seated with Christ in heavenly places.

Jesus, cover my heart with Your peace and silence the lies that try to define me. Let the eyes of my heart be enlightened so I may know the hope to which I am called (Ephesians 1:18). Strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being (Ephesians 3:16). And help me walk in love, humility, and spiritual authority, fully dressed in the armor of God. In Jesus' name, Amen.

💛 A Word of Encouragement

If you feel unseen, remember this: Rejection is not the end—it’s often the confirmation that you’re set apart. You were never called to blend in. You were chosen to shine. The rejection of man does not cancel the choosing of God.

You are not too much. You are not forgotten. You are God’s beloved—called, anointed, and full of purpose.

So rise up. Speak boldly. Live fully. You are chosen. You are His. You are free.
